07/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 4 April, the European Commission submitted a draft regulation to the EU Council of Ministers on extending the definitive anti-dumping measures levied on imports of certain leather shoes from the Chinese mainland (Regulation 1472/2006/EC) to imports of similar leather shoes from the Special Administrative Region of Macao, irrespective of whether the products are declared as originating in Macao. An investigation by the Commission concluded that the anti-dumping measures were being got around by off-loading and/or assembling shoes in Macao.
