26/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 26 March, the environmental and public health committee unanimously (with one abstention) approved the report by Cypriot GUE/NGL MEP Adamos Adamou on organ donation and the development of a European policy on transplantation quality and security. The report will be put to the plenary session at the end of April. The European Commission is currently preparing a proposal for a diorective and an action plan in this area. (O.J.)
