EU deploys Election Observation Mission to Nepal

Brussels, 17/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - A 110-member strong EU mission, led by Dutch MEP Jan Mulder (ALDE), will be deployed to observe the parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in Nepal on 10 April 2008. A part of the mission will begin work in Kathmandu on Tuesday 18 March. In addition to a core team of 10 experts, the EU team will consist of 40 long-term and more than 60 short-term observers.
