'Polluter pays' principle applies to Erika oilslick but judge says Total has limited liability

Brussels, 14/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - In an opinion published on 13 March 2008, European Court of Justice Advocate-General Juliane Kokott said the 'polluter pays' principle applies to damage caused by the accidental loss of diesel (Case C-188/07).
