Draft Committee of Regions' opinion says EU budget should be planned over ten years with separate funding reserved for special projects

Brussels, 03/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - At its upcoming plenary on 9-10 April 2008, the Committee of the Regions is expected to adopt an opinion on the reform of the EU's budget drafted by Luc Van den Brande (EPP, Belgium) and Michel Delebarre (PES), the president and vice-president of the CoR respectively. The draft opinion of the CoR's temporary ad hoc committee on the review of the EU's budget calls for the budget to be set for ten year rather than seven as at present, with special funding...
