Brussels, 25/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - European and Iraqi negotiators will be meeting in Brussels on 26-27 February for the 4th negotiation session for an agreement in trade and cooperation, launched in November 2006 (EUROPE 9310 and 9407). During the fourth round table discussion, questions raised will include human rights, trade in goods and services, customs and taxation, industrial cooperation, transport, employment and social protection, education, training, young people, culture, agriculture and rural development. The agreement aims to improve trade between the EU and Iraq by integrating the country into the world economy. The three first round table discussions reached consensus on several chapters, in areas such as the fight against terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and energy cooperation.
