Javier Solana condemns violence in Darfur

Brussels, 15/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a press release published on Thursday 14 February, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana condemned the “renewed and escalating violence” in Western Darfur and called for the “earliest possible deployment of EUFOR Chad/RCA” to improve the security of the Darfur refugee camps set up in eastern Chad and in the north-eastern part of the Republic of Central Africa.
