05/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 5 February, the European Commission granted clearance to the acquisition of joint control of Arsys Group of Spain by Mercapital Private Equity SGECR, S.A. controlled by Mercapital S.L. of Spain, and CETP Participations SARL SICAR, controlled by the Carlyle Group of the US. Arsys Group provides internet housing and hosting services. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (C.D.)
