During Chad mission, Louis Michel signs stabilisation aid programme to tune of €10 million for eastern part of country

Brussels, 22/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - During a mission to Chad on 20-22 January, Louis Michel, the European Commissioner for development and humanitarian aid signed a programme on 21 January in Ndjamena. This stabilisation accompaniment programme for €10 million will go to the East of the country, a region that has more than 233,000 refugees from Darfur and almost 180,000 displaced people from Chad.
