21/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The Academy of European Law (ERA) is organising its annual reception in Brussels on Tuesday 22 January at 19: 00 at the offices of Germany's Permanent Representation. The guest of honour will be the Slovenian minister for justice, Lovro Šturm. ERA will be initiating a new chapter in its development in 2008 because it is not only opening a permanent office at 159 rue Belliard in Brussels but is also preparing for the expansion of its congress centre in Trier. The public foundation was set up in 1992 on the initiative of the EP. ERA promotes best practice in European law, provides training to legal practitioners and a forum for debate. (B.C.)
