EU to send “fully fledged” observation mission to 18 February general election

Brussels, 07/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 4 January, the European Commission announced that it was to send a full observation mission to the general election in Pakistan on 18 February. After sending a “limited” mission, External Relations Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner decided to expand it and make it a “fully fledged Observation Mission” for the elections, said a spokeswoman for the European Commission.
