07/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - Because of a severe flu, European Commission President José Manuel Barroso has had to cancel all his appointments until Thursday, said his spokesman Johannes Laitenberger on Monday 7 January. Thus, he will miss the meeting, on Tuesday in Brdo, between the Commission and the Slovenian government, marking Slovenia's taking-on of the presidency of the EU on 1 January 2008.
