07/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - Following a recovery in November, the Business Climate Indicator (BCI) for the euro area decreased in December 2007, the European Commission indicated on Monday 7 January 2008. The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) also weakened falling by 0.4 points in the EU and by 0.1 points in the eurozone to reach 107.1 points and 104.7 points respectively last December. Both indicators, however, remain well above their long-term average. (A.B.)
