Commission recommends opening investigation into exports of Chinese raw steel

Brussels, 07/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - A highly placed source within the European steel industry, speaking to Reuters on Wednesday 5 December on condition of anonymity, said that the European Commission was to open an investigation in mid-December into imports of steel products from China, which European producers claim are being dumped (see EUROPE 9519 and 9533). The investigation, into hot-rolled products, could be extended to include imports of cold-rolled stainless steel products....
