Parliament defends its priorities, pointing out that it can decide on its own for all issues apart from Galileo and CFSP

Strasbourg, 24/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - The first speaker to take the floor resumed the European Parliament's position on the draft budget for next year in a few sentences. The president of the European Parliament's budget committee, German MEP Reimer Boge (EPP-ED), listed the EP's demands with regard to Galileo and agencies, and said that as far as the CFSP was concerned, without the European Parliament, there would have been genuine financial bankruptcy.
