Portuguese Presidency sketches out Community jurisdiction for settling patent disputes

Brussels, 16/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - The dossier on improving the European patents system is resurfacing. Early October, the Portuguese Presidency drafted a note in which it sketches out Community jurisdiction for setting disputes with regard to patents. Linked to the European Court of Justice, this specialised, integrated system is valid for matters concerning the validity and cancellation of European patents and future Community patents.
