Brussels, 28/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Three months ahead of the 1 January 2008 deadline set by the WTO for the entry into force of the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) negotiated between the EU and six regional sub-groups from the ACP (African, Caribbean and Pacific states), opponents and supporters of the EPAs are waging a war of words. The EPAs pave the way for free trade and phase out the unilateral preferences currently enjoyed by ACP states in accessing EU markets.
