13/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - Following adoption on Wednesday 12 September by the “Libe” committee at the European Parliament of a draft report on the “Returns” directive (EUROPE 9500), French MEP, Adeline Hazan was keen to point out that the maximum retention period to which an illegal immigrant can be subject, currently varies from 32 days to an “unlimited” period.
