11/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 11 September, the European Commission granted clearance to the acquisition of sole control of natural gas supplier Energie Investimenti S.p.A. of Italy by GDF International S.A.S. (GDFI), a subsidiary of the French group Gaz de France S.A. GDFI is active in the exploration, supply and distribution of gas and the supply of energy services. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
