11/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Hungarian police has seized over eight tonnes of security paper manufactured in Germany and intended for the production of counterfeit euro notes, Europol announced on Monday. Six suspects of Hungarian nationality were also arrested, after ten years of investigation by the Hungarian and German authorities and Europol. The eight tonnes of paper would have been used for banknotes worth €147 million to €441 million (depending on the denomination). (bc)
