10/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - For its fifteenth anniversary, the Academy of European Law will be organising on 27-29 September in Trier (Germany), a congress on “The Future of Legal Europe”. This event will begin with a round table discussing European integration over the last 50 years. Different subjects to do with a legal Europe will then be tackled as part of a framework of work groups: the treaty and reform; state of play; better legislation in the EU; the development of a European judicial culture and fostering social Europe in the single market. Speakers expected at the conference include: Vassilios Skouris, President of the European Court of Justice, Diana Wallis, Vice-president of the European Parliament and former European Commissioner Karel Van Miert.
