04/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Parliament approved an initiative by Finland to bring the rules applicable to Europol analysis files into line with the Europol Convention, as amended by the 2003 Protocol, which came into effect on 18 April 2007. The Convention will continue to regulate all matters relating to Europol until the Council decision setting up the European Police Office comes into effect. (bc)
