Cairo, 04/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - The Anna Lindh Foundation, in association with the Italian “Fondazione Mediterraneo”, has awarded the 2006 Euro-Mediterranean Prize for the Dialogue between Cultures to Rodi Kratsa, the Greek Vice-President of the European Parliament, and Jan Williams, the Dutch artistic director of the “Day Productions” theatre in Hebron and Gaza. Honourable mentions were given to Wassyla Tamzali, a writer involved in the campaign for women's rights, Hanna Herzo, an Israeli professor and sociologist, and Mahassen El Emam, the general director and founder of the “Arab Women Media R&S Center” in Jordan. The Anna Lindh Foundation was set up as a common institution as part of the Barcelona Process. (fb)
