20/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced on Friday 20 July that a joint committee would be created for exchanging information on counter-terrorism. “We shall create a joint committee that will meet every quarter to exchange information on counter-terrorism”, Mr Sarkozy explained at a press conference in the Elysée. “We want to strengthen our working methods and our cooperation”, he said. “Terrorism will be one of the great challenges for decades to come”, stressed Gordon Brown, inviting France and Great Britain to work hand in hand to combat this scourge.
