Internet operators are under no obligation to reveal identity of subscribers in civil proceedings

Luxembourg, 19/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In conclusions presented on 18 July, Advocate General Juliane Kokott suggests that the European Court of Justice rule that the internet connection company, Telefónica, should not be under any obligation to reveal the private data of subscribers except in criminal proceedings (Case C-275/06).
