06/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - To contain the crisis in Darfur (Sudan), a United Nations-African Union force must be deployed as quickly as possible, say MEPs who this week visited the region. “We cannot wait another year to restore security. A hybrid force, with an appropriate mandate, has to be deployed quickly and efficiently, as was recently agreed with the Sudanese government,” said the leader of the delegations, Josep Borrell (PES, Spain).
