Delayed negotiations on the protection of eels and bluefin tuna

Brussels, 07/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On the evening of Monday 7 May in Brussels, the Fisheries Ministers of the Member States of the EU were attempting to reach a political agreement on reconstitution measures for eel stocks. The main stumbling block related to restocking operations of European breeding ponds, it using young eels.
