Brussels, 27/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is hoping that decisive progress can be made on setting up a regional organisation to manage non-tuna stocks in the South Pacific at the meeting in Chile between 30 April and 4 May. The previous meeting of the parties (Australia, Chile, New Zealand and the European Union), in November 2006, ended in failure because of differences over how to restrict the practice of bottom trawling in these waters.
