24/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission decided on 24 April not to raise any objections to the granting of state aid to the Polish coal sector to cover the so-called “exceptional costs” associated with restructuring. The Polish measure was an extension of the 2004-2006 programme (previously approved by the Commission), and unused resources set aside for the previously approved measure will be used to finance the aid.
