Brussels, 24/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - The president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, intends to organise an informal mini-summit in Sintra (Portugal) on 12 May to bring a number of EU heads of state and government together - including the German chancellor and the current president of the European Council, Angela Merkel, and the future French president, Nicolas Sarkozy or Ségolène Royal - to discuss a solution to the Union's institutional crisis.
