24/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 24 April, the EP approved the proposal to give Bulgaria and Romania tariff quotas of raw cane sugar imports intended for refining, but only for the harvest years 2006/07, 2007/08 and 2008/09. With the adoption of the report by Friedrich-Wilhelm Gräfe zu Baringdorf (Greens/EFA, Germany), the EP adopted a single amendment specifying that no tariff quota will be granted to these countries as of 2009/2010, except under the initiative “Everything But Arms”,...
