Commission earmarks additional €10 million for victims of crisis in Iraq

Brussels, 16/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is planning to allocate new emergency humanitarian aid of €10 million for the victims of the crisis in Iraq.

Two financing decisions by ECHO - the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Office - are being prepared. One is for €6.2 million to go to refugees in neighbouring countries (basic healthcare, access to education, distribution of food and household equipment, protection of the population and support for the refugee...
