19/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has recently published a book on science communication. The book entitled “Communicating European Research 2005” is made up of a series of articles and republished speeches from the 2005 conference on that subject, attended by over 2,000. In a press release, the Commission states the book will be useful to all those who are interested in greater public awareness and discussion of scientific matters. The 7th EU Framework Programme proposes, for the first time, that project participants shall engage with the public and the media about the project's aims and results. (oj)
