Brussels, 12/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 12 January, the European Commission announced a 63% increase in the number of counterfeit euro coins removed from circulation. The national central banks of the 13 countries in the euro zone seized 163,822 counterfeit coins in 2006, compared with 100,491 in 2005 and 74,478 in 2004.
