08/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - German federal, regional and local authorities, in cooperation with the Commission's permanent representation, the EP information office and civil society in the country, have launched the “Aktion Europa” project. This project has four objectives: 1) to increase knowledge of the EU in Germany; 2) to canvass public opinion on the EU; 3) to highlight the importance of European cooperation and its concrete significance in daily life; and 4) to involve citizens in drawing up European policies.
