Support for Fouad Siniora's government - Syria must play active role in stabilising country and region

Brussels, 15/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - Concerned by the deterioration of the situation in Lebanon, the Heads of State and Government of the EU25 restate their support for the government of Prime Minister Fouad Siniora. In a statement, they unreservedly condemn the assassination of Industry Minister Pierre Gemayel and all attempts by internal or external forces to destabilise Lebanon.
