GENERAL NEWS / (eu) eu/transport

08/12/2006 (Agence Europe) - Finland's Transport Minister Susanna Huovinen and EU Transport Commissioner Jacques Barrot will be signing the transport protocol to the Alpine Convention on 12 December on the fringe of the Transport Council and in the presence of Austrian Transport Minister Hubert Gorbach. The convention aims to reduce the volume and risks relating to intra- and trans-Alpine traffic. (dt)
