28/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - Although the European Year of Workers Mobility is coming to an end, the “European Citizen Action Service” (ECAS) organised a conference last week on workers' mobility, attended by representatives from the Commission, EP and a panel of European citizens, which provided a report on their actual experiences on the matter. Mainly based on the difficulties experienced by nationals from the new Member States, the debate highlighted the inherent shortcomings on application of Community rules on free movement of workers.
