End of ratification process of Accession Treaty

Brussels, 24/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - With the ratification of the Accession Treaty for Bulgaria and Romania in the German Bundesrat on Friday 24 November, the procedure to obtain legal approval for the 1st January 2007 enlargement has been completed, said Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn in a press release. The parliaments of the twenty five Member States and the two candidate countries have now all ratified the treaty. “I welcome Bulgaria and Romania as new Member States of our Union...
