CREDIT AGRICOLE has made a bid for the Turkish bank, OYAKBANK, held at 100% by the military pension fund, OYAK. This is the eighth largest private bank in terms of assets valued at around €2.5 billion. It has 307 agencies in Turkey with 4,600 employed and net profits worth €137 million in 2005.
