Russian company RUSAL has bought its domestic rival SUAL. Swiss company GLENCORE is expected to become part of the merger of Russia's top two aluminium companies, contributing its alumina assets representing some 14% of the new group, compared with 21.5% for SUAL and 64.5% for RUSAL.
