Brussels, 22/08/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday the Commission published proposals for creating a joint company that will provide the European input into the international Iter project (energy from fusion). A press release explained that the company would be based in Barcelona and would be up and running in the first half of 2007. It also said that it would cooperate with industry and European research bodies to produce around half of the hi-tech components needed in the Iter project.
