Commission ruled guilty of maladministration for hiding documents from an NGO on scientific concerns about safety of GMOs

Brussels, 27/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - According to European Ombudsman Nikiforos Diamandouros, the European Commission is guilty of maladministration for refusing to pass on documents to the environmental NGO, Friends of the Earth International. The documents in question revealed scientific concerns about the safety of genetically modified (GM) foods.
