Strasbourg, 14/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Fair trade has demonstrated its worth, says the European Parliament, giving it its full backing to it and calling on the European Commission and Council to encourage this blossoming practice in the EU. Europe is, indeed, the main outlet for fair trade products, accounting for between 60 and 70% of total sales. But Parliament is sure that this rate can still be improved.
