Brussels, 14/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - The draft roaming regulation adopted by the European Commission on Wednesday (see EUROPE 9231) has been welcomed by consumers but slammed by mobile phone operating companies.
BEUC: The European Consumers' Organisation is delighted that the Commission's plan would not be limited to wholesale regulation because: 'It would be naïve to hope that the very same operators would suddenly be converted and voluntarily forego a part of their exorbitant roaming...
