The Swiss agro-chemicals group SYNGENTA will be taking over CONRAD FAFARD (annual turnover of $76 million, with 240 employees), specialised in fertilizer and pesticides for ornamental plants, for $133.5 million. SYNGENTA's turnover in the fertilizer and pesticides for gardens is expected to rise to $250 million in 2006.
