COPA and COGECA urge Commission to ban Brazilian food imports

Brussels, 13/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Following the publication of two “damning” reports by the European Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) on Brazilian agriculture, COPA and COGECA have addressed a letter to EU Commissioner for Trade Peter Mandelson calling on him to immediately prohibit all imports of incriminated Brazilian products until the failings highlighted by the FVO have been put right.
