German brewery FRANKFURTER BRAUHAUS (turnover of €40 million production capacity of 1.5 million hectolitres) is in exclusive negotiations to takeover the French KRONENBOURG DE CHAMPIGNEULLES brewery (185 employees). The KRONENBOURG company as a whole, is a subsidiary of the British SCOTTISH AND NEWCASTLE company, employing 1700 workers and has a turnover of €850 million and production of 8 millions hectolitres in 2005.
