Market players must decide on form of alliance between financial markets, Charlie McCreevy says

Strasbourg, 05/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - What are the effects of possible consolidation, mergers or buy-outs on the major European financial markets and what can the European Commission do? To this oral question put by the chairperson of the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, French Socialist Pervenche Berès, the Commissioner for Internal Market policy, Charlie McCreevy replied that it was up to the market to take a stance.
