Council agreement on renegotiation of agreement on transfer of air passenger data

Brussels, 23/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Council has decided to authorise the European Commission to renegotiate a new agreement on transfer to the United States of personal data concerning air passengers in the context of the fight against terrorism. The official decision is to be endorsed in point A during the Environment Council that will take place on 26 and 27 June in Luxembourg.
